Lagoon 380 Catamaran

Tortola, BVI to Brunswick, GA. - June 2007
We had a great team aboard Lucy for the delivery from Tortola to Brunswick. Owner Mike sailed the entire trip (1200 miles) as did our friend Cha Cha Thompson. We broke the trip into 3 legs and had a third crewmember for each of the 3 legs. Thus we always had a crew of 3. On leg one (Tortola to Turks and Caicos), old friend and fellow racer Eric Stallings sailed with us. We picked up Mike Ventura (another friend/sailor) in the Turks and he sailed with us to Georgetown. In Georgetown, we picked up our friend (sailor and pilot) Andy Scherffius for the final leg to Brunswick.

He rassles dolphins right off the beach
In the old days, sleeping on watch would be cause for keel hauling, but Cha Cha claims he could actually see out of those eyes- you be the judge This cruise ship was steaming a grid search pattern looking for a passenger that had fallen off of another ship - We were in the middle of a coast guard search operation all day
